System Operator
Midwestern Utility


Prefer BSEE or BSME but will consider an ASEE or an AS degree in related specialized fields. Must be able to fluently read and interpret electrical schematic prints. Prefer someone who is NERC certified and has 5 years experience as a System Operator or Dispatcher but will also consider an entry level BSEE. Must be willing to work rotating 12 hr. shifts. Salary to 65K.


Relay Engineer
Midwestern Utility


BSEE with 5+ years experience with relay equipment or protection and control systems. Must have solid experience in relays including design of protection and control systems, relay testing, calculations, field engineering and maintenance. Salary to 85K.


Substation Design Engineer
Midwestern Utility


BSEE with 5+ years experience in design of substations or power plant switchyards. Must have some experience in high voltage transmission. Should have a background in most of the following areas: Specification preparation, substation layout, substation control schematics and wiring, structure and switch design, project cost estimating, substation grounding and transmission and safety maintenance grounding. Salary to 80K.


Plant Electrical Engineer
Midwest


Must have BSEE and 3+ years experience with fossil plant electrical equipment. Duties include directing the installation of electrical projects, troubleshooting electrical equipment/systems, and directing repair efforts. Salary to $75K + bonus.


Project Manager
Midwest


BSEE with 5+ years experience in the electric utility T&D sector. Must have directed projects in excess of 1MM. Duties are to direct utility company personnel and contractors on T&D Construction & Maintenance work. Salary to 70K + bonus.



Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer
Southeast


Must have BSME with 5+ yrs. experience in design engineering of HVAC, plumbing and/or fire protection systems with at least 3 yrs. exper. with a consulting or design engineering firm. Must have knowledge of chilled water/boiler plants and air handling systems. PE License preferred. Salary to 80K



Sr. Electrical Engineer
Denver, CO


Requires electrical engineering/design and project management for power distribution and central plant projects for institutional, utility, and industrial clients. Client satisfaction and maintenance as well as business development responsibilities are also involved. Will supervise junior electrical department members. Will be Lead Engineer with design, budget and schedule performance responsibilities. Act as project manager on projects. Provide overall electrical design on multi-discipline projects and be responsible for producing final project design and specifications. Requires BSEE, PE license in Utah (preferred), and 8-20 years of experience. Salary up to $90,000.



Lead Engineer
Phoenix, AZ


Work on utility, industrial, governmental, pharmaceutical, and institutional projects including fossil fuel plants, small boiler heating and electric generation plants, cogeneration and standby generation facilities, industrial/process facilities, chiller plants, substations, and transmission and distribution projects. Act as Lead Engineer and project manager with design, budget, and schedule performance responsibilities. Responsible for providing overall electrical design direction on multi discipline projects, developing concept studies and designs, producing final project designs and specifications, client interface, and providing leadership to junior department members. Experienced in fault studies, protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution, load flow and short circuit analysis, equipment specification and procurement. Requires BSEE, PE and 10+ years experience. Salary up to $90,000.



Sr. Transmission Engineer
Nevada


Responsibilities include structural and electrical design of all aspects of overhead and underground transmission lines and facilities, 115kv and above. Job duties include engineering design, task lead, and project management. Tasks include design of transmission towers (Steel, concrete, wood) and structures, producing plans (PLS-Cadd and SAG10) and profiles, developing and reviewing specifications, civil site development, and field staking. Requires BS in electrical or civil engineering, PE registration or ability obtain in short order is required, and 10 years experience. Salary up to $95,000 + bonus and excellent relocation assistance.



Transmission/Structural Engineer (2 positions)
Nevada


Responsibilities include structural design of all aspects of overhead and underground transmission and distribution lines and substations. Experience in Hydrology studies is required. Job duties include engineering design, task lead, and project management. Tasks include design of transmission and distribution line foundations, structures (wood, concrete and steel poles) and guying, substation foundations and structures, and underground utility duct banks; producing plans and profiles; developing and reviewing specifications; civil site development. Requires BS in civil engineering, PE or ability to obtain in short order, and 7 – 15 years experience. Salary up to $85,000.



Fleet Controls Engineer
California


Responsibility will be to act as the Company’s controls and SCADA expert on its fleet of combined cycle power plants. The Fleet Controls Manager will report directly to the Director of Plant Mobilization on an interim basis, then to the VP Asset Manager after the first several plants have achieved commercial operations. Will also interface with the Plant Management regarding plant controls and SCADA related issues of all types. Candidates must have a BS degree in engineering or equivalent experience; ten plus years experience of controls engineering, testing and maintenance; will have participated in at least one combined cycle power plant start-up; direct experience with GE Mark V turbine controls and with OSI's Pi data base. Compensation up to $112K DOE + performance incentive, excellent benefits and relocation.



Principal Project Engineer Liquid Natural Gas
California


As part of an international project development subsidiary of a Fortune 500 investor owned utility this position will report to the VP-Engineering/Construction or Engineering & Construction Manager. The Principal Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting project engineering, procurement, and construction activities for the design, construction and start-up of LNG facilities. Position will provide all necessary on-site administration and coordination of the Company, project-related contracts, equipment supply, and construction. Coordinate with the Company Team/Director during hiring and training of plant management, operations and maintenance personnel, physical requirements, start-up support, and test/witness support. The Project Manager will work to facilitate start-up of the Project in accordance with plant performance expectations. Must have B.S. degree in Engineering or related field, a PE, and ten years related work experience and demonstrated knowledge/experience in LNG handling storage and related processes; Negotiation of large scale engineering and construction contracts; Marine/breakwater construction; and Instrumentation and control systems. Compensation will be industry competitive DOE + Performance incentive, excellent benefits and relocation assistance.



Liquid Gas Project Engineer
California


Supports project development and operations of natural gas infrastructure throughout North American (US, Canada, Mexico) or South America. Reports to the Project Director and/or a Project Manager, this position ensures that the project is designed, constructed and maintained at the highest level of integrity. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of three years related experience in LNG terminal projects. Compensation will be up to $90K DOE + Performance Incentive, excellent benefits and relocation assistance.



Manager of Operations and Maintenance
Midwest



Must have BS Engineering or Science degree with 5+ yrs. supervisory experience at a DOE or NRC Licensed Facility, or in the Navy Nuclear Program. Duties are to develop the operations and maintenance staff required at a new facility utilizing advanced technology processes. Must have a DOE Q Clearance, or ability to obtain it quickly. Must be a U. S. Citizen. Salary up to 90K.



Branch Manager
California



Must have BSEE with an electrical power systems testing background working for a utility or a service provider to utilities. Must also have management/supervisory experience and must be business savvy. Salary: About 80K, but will go higher for a very good background.



Senior Staff Engineer
Southeast


Must have BSEE with at least 10 yrs. experience in electrical, controls and instrumentation. Must have liquid pipeline or terminaling experience. Must be willing to work up to 60 hrs./wk. and travel 50-70%. Salary up to 125K.
